Patrons must check our library database to ensure we do not own the book before requesting on interlibrary loan.

New books (books published within the last six months) are not available through interlibrary loan.

The usual loan period is three weeks with a possible two-week extension.

Overdue charges for interlibrary loans are $1.00 a day per item.

Interlibrary loan books that are not picked up will result in a $5.00 charge per item.

Renewals must be requested 3-5 days prior to the due date by contacting the library.

The request process can take anywhere from a week to a couple of months depending upon the availability of the material. Some libraries restrict lending on certain materials; books on CD, rare books, fragile items, and video recordings.

Some libraries charge to lend their materials. The library will contact you for approval if this is the case.

Loss of borrowing privileges will result if a patron is consistently late with the return of their interlibrary loans.

The lending library will assess any damage or replacement charges.
