    Friends of the Huntsville Library

    A registered charity, the Friends are a voluntary, non-profit organization established in 1990 to promote programs, services and facilities of the Huntsville Public Library. 

    What We Do

    • Improve collections
    • Buy equipment such as computers
    • Subsidize children’s programs at the Library
    • Provide performers in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion during March Break and Summer months
    • Pay for Grade 4 Class visits in the READ TO SUCCEED program
    • Provide prizes and refreshments for the Chess and Scrabble Clubs
    • Provide funds for major projects such as a new library

    How We Raise Funds

    • Sell books from the Boutique at the front of the Library
    • Special book sales at Christmas and during the Spring and Summer
    • Interest from investments
    • Donations

     

    All donations are welcome. Tax receipts will be issued for all donations of at least $15. Charity registration number 888319464.

    Meetings are held 6-8 times per year at the Library.
