Huntsville Public Library offers a selection of books about musical topics and performances on compact disc and a few concerts on DVD.

Browse the books in the 780-789 Dewey range in either the adult or children's nonfiction areas for performer and composer biographies, music history, how to play books on popular instruments such as guitar or fiddle, a few collections of lyrics and limited sheet music (mainly scored for piano).

Huntsville Library also is pleased to offer a variety of recorded musical performances on compact disc (CD). The music CDs are located on spinners in three places: the Children's Library; Rotary Teen Space; and the main collections on the Minerva Street wall near the public computers.

To browse the music CDs the library has to offer, use "Compact Disc Collection" as a subject in the library catalogue.

The library organizes its music and related compact discs into one of nine categories:

• Country
• Folk/World
• Movie/Shows

• Miscellaneous (includes seasonal music, relaxation recordings, nature sounds, etc.).
