Strategic Plan

Strategic Planning has played an integral role in Huntsville Public Library Board's operations for almost 2 decades.

Strategic planning in the mid and late 1980s resulted in the Capital Campaign and the opening of the new library in 1995 as well as expanded Children's Programming.

The Strategic Agenda 1997-2002 drove the Help Your Shelf Campaign, and a major fundraising campaign to expand the Library's collection of books, videos, CDs, etc.

In 2003, the Board began a new cycle of strategic planning, beginning with a Needs Assessment Study. The goal of this study was to provide a foundation to develop a new Strategic Agenda to cover the period 2005-2009.
