Huntsville Public Library is recruiting new Library Board members. The Board is currently made up of six citizens of the Town of Huntsville who have been officially appointed by the Mayor and Council. The Board is responsible for the operation of the Library and operates under the authority of the Public Libraries Act of Ontario. Regularly scheduled Board meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Library.
The Board welcomes applications from citizens interested in volunteering their time, sharing their ideas and expertise, and helping their community. We encourage you to submit an application. For more information connect with Deborah Duce our CEO/Chief Librarian.
Residents of Huntsville who are interested in serving on the Library Board are encouraged to submit an application to the Town Clerk. Notices of vacancies will appear in the local paper as they become available. It is important to note that membership is a volunteer position.
Qualifications for Board members include the following:
The Library Board meets on the third Monday of the month. Special meetings may be called, as necessary, by the Chair of the Board.
