Fundraising

Huntsville Public Library seeks different ways to raise funds to improve equipment, collections and services.

The Friends of the Huntsville Library are a registered charitable group who raise funds for some of these purposes. Many of the Library's Partners help with funds for specific projects.

The Library welcomes donations to help with its work from individual members of the public, from community groups and from businesses.

The Shelf Plaque fundraiser is also used primarily at the Holidays, but is available at any time of the year. If you donate $100, you can honour a patron of your choice by placing his or her name on a three foot library shelf. Often this is used as a memorial gift. The library sends a letter acknowledging your gift on his or her behalf to the honoree or their next of kin.

From time to time the library is pleased and honoured to receive memorial donations and/or gifts in a patron's will. You can contact the Chief Librarian with any questions if you are contemplating a bequest to Huntsville Public Library.
