Stairs & Ramp: Information & Updates

Renovations to the Library entrance stairs and ramp noted in the drawing above began Wednesday, September 14, 2011.  We hope to have the renovation complete by May, 31, 2012.

Updates & Information

07.05.2012	The work to complete the renovation to the front entrance of the Library will begin May 10th.  On Mon. May 14th the Town of Huntsville will begin replacement of the sidewalks in front of the Library.  During this period users will be asked to use the ramp which is fully accessible.  Dates to note: May 10, 2012 - Relaying of pavers at bottom of ramp May 14, 2012 - Replacement of sidewalk in front of the Library May 18, 2012 - Installation of bike rack, refacing of front entrance wall, relaying of pavers at bottom of step, installation of bench, and filling of planter. May 25th, 2012 - Planting of Ginkgo tree and bushes
21.09.2011	The sidewalk in front of the Library is temporarily unavailable.  The pick up for bus stop has been moved closer to the corner of Minerva & Centre Street .
19.09.2011	Construction of the temporary ramp and installation of the 'doorbell' at the southwest entrance to the library was completed today.  The doorbell is at waist height on the right hand side of the door.  Ring the doorbell and library staff will open the door as soon as possible. The door must remained locked for security reasons.
